Introduction to Radio & Media
Introduction to Radio and Media (Certificate III in Screen and Media – CUA31020) will equip you as a radio announcer, podcaster, or audio producer. As part of your training, you will arrange a work placement at a community radio station. If you undertake your course with us here in Townsville you will be a part of 99.9 Live FM where we are announcing to over 42,000 listeners in North Queensland with the message “It’s Good to Be Alive.”

Good communication is essential for strong relationships, healthy families, and communities! Our mission is to train and equip effective communicators to share good news and influence positive community growth.
During the course you will learn how to edit sound, present radio and podcasting programs, as well as a range of skills to help make this fun and effective – brainstorming, design process, social media marketing, and more.
The core units of the course will develop and extend your critical thinking skills and prepare you to work effectively within the creative arts and media industry.

This six-month full time course runs from July-December and is delivered on our Townsville City Campus, which is host to 99.9 Live FM. Your training will take place in a thriving Christian, community radio station where you’ll be a part of making it all happen!
A YWAM Discipleship Training School is a pre-requisite to this cohort.

$215/month accommodation
